BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Road Commission and the Branch County Drain Commission were the subjects of a recent article in the spring edition of the Michigan County Road Association’s magazine “Crossroads”.
The article mentioned how much the departments have worked together over the years and how much Road Commission Manager Jay Miller and Drain Commissioner Mike Hard have collaborated on many road projects.
Among the recent projects were the emergency cross tube repair on Albright Road and the bridge repair project on Old U.S. 27 over the Coldwater River.
The article stated that Hard felt both sides take pride in representing each other for the betterment of all county residents.
Hard went on to say, “if the Road Commission repaves a road and then the next year the Drain Commissioner comes through and tears it, it doesn’t look good for either of us.”
