LANSING, MI (WTVB) – A Branch County woman has won a half million dollars in the Michigan Lottery’s Wild Time Supreme instant game.
The lucky player, who chose to remain anonymous, bought her winning ticket at PS Food Mart at 75 East Chicago Street in Coldwater.
In a news release issued Monday by the Michigan Lottery, the 34-year-old woman said, “I don’t typically play Wild Time Supreme, but I liked the color of the ticket, so I decided to buy two of them. When I scratched the ticket and saw what I’d won, I was completely shocked. I still am! It feels like such a blessing to win. This prize could not have come at a better time.”
The player visited Lottery headquarters recently to claim her prize. She plans to save her winnings.
The woman is the second local resident to win a big Michigan Lottery prize in recent weeks.
62-year-old Richard Morrill of Coldwater man won a one-time lump sum payment of $390,000 playing the Michigan Lottery’s Lucky For Life game.
He matched the five white balls drawn December 16. Morrill bought his winning ticket at Super Liquor II at 487 West Chicago Street in Coldwater.
