CENTREVILLE, MI (WTVB) – The winter sports season for Branch County schools came to an end Monday night at Centreville High School, as Bronson fell to Watervliet 67-37 in an MHSAA Division 3 Boys Basketball Regional Semifinal game.
The Panthers roared out to a 23-8 first quarter lead and doubled up the Vikings at halftime 42-21. They shot ten 3-pointers in the game, compared to three for Bronson.
Sayler Wotta had a team-high 10 points and 9 rebounds, while Aden Hathaway scored 9 and Reagan Mayer had 8 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, and a block. Kamron Brackett added 8 points and 4 boards as the Vikings wrapped up the season at 13-10.

Three players scored in double digits for Watervliet: Andrew Chisek led all scorers with 19, Kaiden Bierhalter had 16, and Tyson Williams finished with 15. The Panthers improved to 19-3 and will face 21-2 Schoolcraft Wednesday night for the Regional title. The Eagles eliminated Lawton 57-52 in the early game.
