COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A pair of local Rotary clubs are trying to help citizens in Ukraine who are struggling just to stay alive following Russia’s invasion of their country.
The clubs have decided to donate a total of $10,000 from their recent Rotary shows as part of the Coldwater MI USA for Ukraine fundraising campaign.
Rotary President Tim Hart says half of the money came from the Noon Rotary Club with the other half coming from the Sunrise Rotary Club.
Rotary Club member Craig Lynch says they have been in contact with a Rotary Club in Poland.
That money will be used for medical and hygiene needs.
Lynch says they are asking community members to help out.
Checks can also be dropped off at the Midwest Communications WTVB offices on Old 27 during normal business hours.
