COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A second criminal sexual conduct case filed against a Coldwater man has been bound over to Branch County Circuit Court after he waved his District Court preliminary exam on Thursday.
The latest case filed by Branch County Prosecutors against 35-year-old Adan George Rodriguez charges him with two counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct and two counts of second degree C.S.C. in connection with alleged incidents on January 1, 2021.
His bond remains at $200,000 and a Circuit Court arraignment on the latest case was scheduled for March 28.
Rodriguez was initially charged with first degree criminal sexual conduct on November 3, 2021. He is scheduled to appear for a Circuit Court pre-trial conference in the November case on April 18.
The alleged victim in both cases is a girl who was 11-years-old at the time.
According to Branch County court documents, the alleged victim told Coldwater Police investigators last November that the alleged abuse has been going on every day for three years.
The November investigation included an examination of the alleged victim at ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital.
If he should post bond, Rodriguez has been ordered not to have any contact with the alleged victim and he is to have no unsupervised contact with any minor child.
