COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – As part of the Downtown Development Authority’s participation in the Main Street Select Level program, the Coldwater D.D.A. board Wednesday morning chose a transformation strategy to help guide downtown development efforts.
Two options, “Family-Focused Experience” and “Arts & Culture Experience”, were presented to the board.
Economic Development Coordinator Audrey Tappenden said there was some overlap in the two strategies.
Board member Matt Biolchini favored the strategy that focused on the family.
Board member Chris Howell favored of the Arts and Culture Experience.
Courtney Dirschell’s motion summed up the consensus of the board that there was not much difference in the two strategies.
With the decision by the board, Michigan Main Street staff along with a designated consultant will now prepare for a April 12 workshop with the D.D.A..
