COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Three new electronic speed measurement signs were put into service last week by the City of Coldwater.
The new signs are in addition to the two on U.S. 12 that have been in place for many years.
Coldwater City Manager Keith Baker says there are six predetermined locations these signs will be located at this summer.
The signs are designed to increase traffic safety by showing drivers how fast they are going. The signs will also collect data on vehicle speeds in the area.
According to Baker, these signs do not take photos of vehicles or drivers and no enforcement action can or will be taken from data collected by the signs.
