Coldwater Police say no weapon was involved in Elm Street assault

COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – What was initially reported to be a stabbing incident Monday night in the 100 block of Elm Street turned out instead to be an assault and Coldwater Police said on Tuesday morning no weapon was involved.

Police were dispatched at about 9:20 p.m..

The victim is reported to be a man in his mid 60’s who went to Promedica Coldwater Regional Hospital for treatment of a laceration to his eye.

No arrests have been made as the victim is reported to be uncooperative with police.
