BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – Branch County is in a weather rut and the forecast is not holding much promise things will improve this week while most of the kids are home on Spring Break.
With Monday’s rain, the M.S.U. Extension Service weather station at the Bloom Dairy Farm west of Coldwater has measured rain 14 out of the last 18 days.
Between March 18 and midnight on Sunday, the weather station has measured just over two-and-a-half (2.58) inches of rain.
It’s also been unseasonably cold for most of the last two weeks. Since March 21 when the high reached 71 degrees, the temperature has only been above 60 degrees once.
Rain is in the extended forecast for every day this week with highs struggling to get into the 50s.
Relief is expected on Sunday with sunny skies and warmer than normal temperatures are in the National Weather Service eight to 14 day extended forecast for next week.
