UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – The Village of Union City’s Fire Department has upgraded its fleet with the addition of a new fire truck.
The engine was previously owned by the fire department in Farmington Hills, Michigan and is gently used.
Officials say it will be a huge upgrade for the Union City Fire Department and community.
The 75 foot aerial ladder pumps 2,500 gallons per minute and has a 500 gallon water tank. It will be the “first out” truck to Village fires.
The new engine replaces a 43 year old ladder truck, which is being retired.
