Yet even more spring sports cancellations, UC baseball and softball against Athens postponed

UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County spring sports cancellations just keep piling up.

For the second time this week, the Union City varsity baseball and girls softball teams were unable to open their seasons on Thursday.

The Chargers home games with Athens were postponed until April 21 due to adverse field conditions.

The J.V. baseball game between Union City and Olivet was also called off and will be made up at a later date.
