COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater City Council approved a resolution on Monday night authorizing the advancement of $350,000 to the Downtown Development Authority for the renovation of the former Taylor’s Stationers building at 60 West Chicago.
The renovations would take place in the near future for the planned relocation of the Branch County Children’s Museum.
Economic Development Director Lisa Miller said there are still some hurdles to be cleared before the work begins.
The Downtown Development Authority owns the building.
The D.D.A. Board approved bids for exterior maintenance work and architectural renderings to the empty building last month.
The building has been empty for nearly six years.
