Rick Austin drove in four runs as the Chargers improved to 2-1.
Union City led 10-6 entering the seventh inning before they scored seven runs.
Winning pitcher Wade Hoffman struck out eight in five innings of work.
Union City led Hillsdale 8-4 in the second game when play was suspended by darkness.
Also in high school baseball on Thursday, Bronson dropped to 0-3 with a 9-5 loss to Centreville.
The Vikings led 5-4 entering the fifth before the Bulldogs scored five unanswered runs over the last three innings.
Reagan Mayer had two of the four Bronson hits. Nolan Ray had a double.
