QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – A stove fire in the kitchen of the Quincy Diner has closed the restaurant until further notice.
The fire was reported at 12:20 p.m. on Friday afternoon. The diner was scheduled to open at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
Quincy and Coldwater firefighters were on the scene until shortly before 1:00 p.m. as the fire was contained to the kitchen area.
Life Care Ambulance was called in on a standby basis. No injuries were reported.
According to a post on the Quincy Diner’s Facebook page, it’s not known when they will be able to reopen since they have to buy new appliances and do all the rest of the necessary procedures.
They thanked their customers for their patronage and understanding.
