COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A project designed to fix the sidewalks in downtown Coldwater has been delayed for one day because of the wintry weather that does not want to go away.
As snow covered the ground in downtown Coldwater less than two weeks before the merry month of May, City Manager Keith Baker says the sidewalk work is now scheduled to start on Tuesday.
Weather permitting, sidewalks and parallel parking on U.S. 12 will be closed this Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday as crews from Two Ducks, Incorporated of Battle Creek lift and grind 38 locations of uneven and damaged downtown sidewalks.
Work is scheduled to be performed on the north side of U.S. 12 from North Hanchett to North Monroe on Tuesday with some construction near City Hall.
Wednesday’s work is scheduled to be from Clay to Hanchett on both sides of U.S. 12.
Crews are scheduled to be on the south side of U.S. 12 from South Hanchett to Division on Thursday.
Drivers are encouraged to park behind businesses while the work is going on.
