Virginia Mae Sattler, 92, of Allen, passed away Monday, April 18, 2022 at Hillsdale County Medical Care Facility.
A private family graveside burial will be held at Lakeview Cemetery in Quincy.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Quincy.
She was born December 17, 1929 in Saginaw, Michigan to Arthur and Eleanor (Korff) Morrison. She married Thomas Edward Sattler and he preceded her in death in 1998.
Virginia graduated from Quincy High School in 1947, where she was a standout athlete and a part of a state championship girls basketball team. She later worked at Hi-Lex and was the second shift manufacturing supervisor.
Virginia loved traveling with her two sisters and brother in law, Louie. She also enjoyed bird watching, playing cards and attending concerts at the Gospel Barn in Hillsdale.
Survivors include her children, Thomas (Penny) Sattler, Margaret VanHook, Dennis (Gloria) Sattler, Kevin Lee (Kay) Sattler, Brian Edward (Terry) Sattler, Brenda Sue Ray, Lynne Marie Stone, Virginia Lee (Scott) Waterson and Peggy Elaine (Richard) White; grandchildren, Thomas and Justin Sattler, Jennifer and Chrystal Adams, Nichole, Curtis and Christopher Sattler, Jeff, Sarah, Matthew and Tessa Sattler, Anthony Wright, Eric Rentchler, Stephanie and Kelly Sattler, Kari Williams, Ashley and Corey Jeffries, Darrin Zuck, and Taylor and Jessica Holcomb; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and siblings, Edward (Shirley) Morrison, Carol Saunders, Ruth (Jerry) Sheerer and Arthur (Julie) Morrison.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas; daughters, Susan Rentchler and Barbara Sue Sattler; and siblings, Betty Strauss, Cecil Morrison and Dianne Curtis.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Hillsdale County Humane Society.
