READING, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy Orioles girls softball team improved to 3-0 on Wednesday evening as they defeated Reading 24-11 in the first game of a scheduled doubleheader.
Danika Skirka was the winning pitcher as she allowed four hits in four innings of work while striking out three. She was backed by a 21-hit attack.
Cemara Paul had four hits including her first home run of the season. Brailee Wood knocked in five runs on three hits including an inside the park home run.
Also adding to Quincy’s hit parade was McKynna Connin with three hits. Kailey Allman, Danika Skirka, Kaylee Modert, and Deziray Skirka all had two hits.
Game two was suspended due to darkness after three innings of play with Quincy leading Reading 13-4. The game will be finished at a later date.
