JONESVILLE, MI (WTVB) – Kyle Johnson clubbed two homers and drove in five runs as Union City defeated Jonesville 10-3 in the first game of a scheduled doubleheader on Wednesday.
Johnson was also the winning pitcher as he struck out ten Comets in six innings of work.
Johnson and Wade Hoffman both had two hits.
Jonesville was winning the second game 7-2 in the top of the fourth inning when play was suspended.
The game is scheduled to be resumed this afternoon at Alumni Field before Union City plays Athens in the regularly scheduled contest.
