CLINTON, MI (WTVB) – Bronson split a non-conference girls softball doubleheader at Clinton on Thursday. The Vikings won the first game 4-2 but dropped the nightcap 7-4.
First game winning pitcher Addison Harris went the distance and struck out seven.
Ciara Blankenship and Aubree Calloway both had two hits. Calloway also drove in two runs.
Jaydn Cary led Bronson in the second game with three hits and two stolen bases.
Caitlyn Hagen and Blankenship both had two hits while Calloway had a double.
Bronson Coach Becky Gray said, “I felt we came out and played very well the first game. We were intense, had good pitching with good defense behind it, and had timely hits. The second game our intensity fell and it showed. Just lessons we have to learn along the way. Clinton is a good team and those are the types of teams we have to play to make ourselves better.”
Bronson’s overall record is now 6-1.
