UC baseball lose suspended game to J’ville, defeat Athens on combined no-hitter

UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – Jonesville defeated Union City 11-4 in the completion of a suspended Big 8 Conference baseball game from Tuesday night.

Ryan Zweng led the Chargers with three hits. He also struck out five batters in three-plus innings of work on the mound.

Owen Jackson and Aidan Decker threw a combined four inning no hitter as Union City defeated Athens in the regularly scheduled game 15-0.

Jackson also drove in three runs.

Phoenix Elkins had two hits as Union City scored 15 runs on just five hits.

The Chargers are now 4-2 overall and 2-2 in the Big 8 Conference.
