BUTLER TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – Firefighters from five departments had to battle what was called a large agricultural fire that claimed several barns on Monday in the area of Briggs and Bidwell Roads.
The Quincy Fire Department reported Monday afternoon that crews were still operating at the scene of the blaze.
The fire was reported at about 5:45 a.m.. Quincy firefighters were assisted by crews from the Coldwater, Allen, Litchfield and Tekonsha Fire Departments.
The Branch County Sheriff’s Department provided traffic control.
Road barricades had to be used to close off all traffic on Briggs Road between Bidwell and Robinson.
Drivers were asked to avoid the area. No injuries have been reported.
