TORONTO, ON (WKZO AM/FM) – The Detroit Red Wings visit the Toronto Maple Leafs in an Original Six matchup tonight.
Detroit broke a two-game losing skid with a 3-0 win over the New Jersey Devils Sunday.
The Red Wings are in sixth place in the Atlantic Division with 72 points.
Red Wings alternate captain Marc Staal has been nominated for the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy. The annual award goes to the NHL player who best exemplifies perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to the game.
The veteran defenseman played in his 1000th career game in March and has 16 points in 71 appearances for Detroit this year.
