SPRINGPORT, MI (WTVB) – The Union City boys and the Quincy girls both picked up a pair of wins in a Big 8 Conference double dual meet at Springport on Wednesday.
Boys—
Union City defeated Quincy 81-56 and Springport 111-24. Quincy defeated Springport 103-27.
Union City winners were Riley Laird in the 100 and 200, Jason Shoop in the 1600 and 3200, Logan Cole in the shot put and discus and Alex Hull in the pole vault.
Quincy got wins from Noah Pearson in the 400, Landen Kelley in the 800, Tae’Sean Bodley in the high jump and from Ethan Hollister in the long jump.
Quincy won the 400 relay while Union City took first in the 1600 and 3200 relays.
Girls—
Quincy defeated Union City 77 ½ to 59 ½ and Springport 122.67 to 12.33. The Chargers defeated Springport 96-30.
Quincy winners were Nikkia Cronk in the 100 and the high jump, Brooke Wasikowski in the 400, Charlotte Crabbs in the 1600, Lorelai Kugler in the 100 hurdles, Raigan Horsfall in the shot put, Sophia Snellenberger in the discus, Flo Vito in the pole vault and Abby Tinervia in the long jump.
Union City got wins from Kassandra Kohsmann in the 200, Kyla Burdick in the 800, Skyler Fraley in the 3200, Nevada Gillons in the 300 hurdles.
Union City won the 400, 800 and 3200 relays while Quincy won the 1600 relay.
