COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater girls softball team managed to split their non conference doubleheader with Jonesville at the Rotary Softball Complex on Thursday night.
Jonesville won the opener 5-2 which ended the Cardinals’ six game winning streak. The Comets came back from a 2-0 deficit with a four-run sixth inning. Alexis Bills had two of the four Cardinal hits, which included a home run.
Coldwater won the nightcap 11-7 in a game that featured three lead changes. Jayla Foster, Morgan Dancer, and Brianna Omo all had two hits as the Cardinals scored in every inning. Kenzie Scheid was the winning pitcher thanks to 12 strikeouts. The Cardinals’ record is now 8-2.
