CENTREVILLE, MI (WTVB) – A Sturgis man is facing 18 felony charges including counts involving child sex abuse material that have been filed by the St. Joseph County Prosecutors Office.
The Michigan State Police Computer Crimes Unit and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force announced the arrest of 32-year-old Clayton Warren for possession, manufacturing, and dissemination of child sexually abusive material and for first degree criminal sexual conduct.
The State Police say Warren was arrested following an investigation stemming from a National Center for Missing and Exploited Children tip regarding his alleged online activity involving child sexual exploitation.
Warren was arraigned in St. Joseph County District Court and is facing life behind bars if he is convicted on the criminal sexual conduct charge.
The State Police Computer Crimes Unit encourages parents to speak to their children about the safe use of the internet.
