COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – After eight years as a volunteer-run committee, the Corner Farmers Market Committee has made the decision to hire a part-time Market Manager, and has named Luke Bovee to this position. Bovee has been a member of the Farmers Market Committee since its inception and will work on all aspects of the market as its Manager including vendor recruitment, fundraising, day of market operations, and logistics.
“I’m excited to continue helping the market evolve,” said Bovee, “I’ve been passionate about it since we started it seven years ago.”
This year the Market will be held Downtown Coldwater by City Hall, just adjacent to the 4 corners since renovation of the north and south west corners will be underway. The market will run for 12 weeks between Strawberry Fest and Apple Fest, every Saturday morning from June 24 until September 9. The market will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Vendors are currently being sought with the Farmers’ Market Committee encouraging the use of locally grown foods and materials. Vendors can choose to attend week-by-week or commit to the full 12-week season. (Photo courtesy Second Story Marketing)
