UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – Union City managed a split of their Big 8 Conference boys double dual meet as they defeated Bronson 98-39 but lost to Jonesville 92-44. Bronson was also beaten by Jonesville 115-22.
Union City winners were Riley Laird in the 100 and 200, Logan Cole in the discus and Alex Hull in the pole vault.
Union City also won the 800 relay.
Union City got a pair of wins in the girls portion of the double dual meet. The Chargers defeated Bronson 99-33 and Jonesville 71-64. Bronson was also beaten by Jonesville 86-40.
Nevada Gillons of Union City won the 100 hurdles and 300 hurdles.
The Chargers dominated the relays as they won the 400, 800 and 3200 relays.
Bronson’s Sidney Swick won the 1600 and 3200 while Jaiden Hayes won the long jump.
