CONCORD, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy Girls Softball team is still undefeated in the Big 8 Conference following a doubleheader sweep of Concord on Thursday.
The two games were played in soggy, rainy conditions.
Quincy won the first game 15-5. Winning pitcher Danika Skirka struck out six batters in the five inning game.
All nine Orioles reached base and were lead by Cemara Paul’s four hit six RBI game that included two doubles and a triple.
Madilynn Hayes added four RBI’s and three singles. Deziray Skirka and Kaylee Modert each had two hits.
Quincy came out ripping the cover off the ball in game 2 with six runs in the first and 14 runs in the second on their way to a 20-3 victory.
Pitcher Alyssa McCavit did not allow a batter to reach base by hit in three innings. She also led the Orioles hitting attack with three hits and seven RBI’s.
The Orioles will be back in action Saturday as they host a 4 team invite.
