COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – After being called off over the last couple of years because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the annual Coldwater Swap Meet and Car Show returned this weekend in grand style at the Branch County Fairgrounds.
The 34th edition of the Mothers Day weekend event was blessed with sunny skies and pleasant temperatures following drab and dreary conditions in 2018 and 2019 which were the last couple of years the event was held before the pandemic.
Organizers say there were 890 cars for the weekend with over 800 showing up on Saturday.
The event attracted 3,500 spectators on Saturday.
Proceeds from the weekend will be donated to local non-profits and charities. The exact amount those organizations will receive from this weekend’s event will be announced at a later time.
Since the Swap Meet and Car Show was reorganized into a non-profit organization in 2010, a total of $194,150 has been given to Branch County non-profit groups.
