QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy Orioles got back above the .500 mark on Thursday as they swept a non-conference doubleheader from Climax Scotts by scores of 14-7 and 10-0.
The Orioles belted 21 hits in the twinbill.
Hunter Tinervia had a hot bat with five hits in the DH.
He and Ethan Copas each had three hits each in the opening game. Copas added three RBI’s.
Brady Mescher and Brennen Allman produced run scoring doubles.
The Orioles pitched by committee as Karsen Maurer started and was credited with the win.
Maurer’s belted a two run homer in the second game. Tinervia, Mescher and Riley Miner each had two hits.
With the wins, the Orioles move to 9-8 on the season and return to action on Saturday in the Glick Invitational in Jackson against Jackson High School
