COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A building in the Fairfield Plaza which has been empty since 2009 will be the subject of an Obsolete Property Rehabilitation Abatement Certificate public hearing during the Coldwater City Council meeting on June 13.
The Council set the date on Monday night after KevKor Enterprises proposed a rehabilitation project for the building which was constructed in 1964 at 398 Marshall Street.
It most recently housed a Video Time video store and part of a dry cleaning establishment.
Samantha Albright from the Neighborhood Services Department told the Council Kev Kor wants to give the facility a total makeover and create office space.
City Manager Keith Baker said Michigan Works! is moving to the location due to an expansion at Pines Behavioral Health.
The rehabilitation work will include a new roof, new and additional restrooms, private offices, training and conference rooms, new lighting and new flooring.
