COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The renovation project at the Branch Area Careers Center is all but wrapped up.
Career and Technical Education Assistant Superintendent Randy Sowles told the Branch I.S.D. Board of Education on Wednesday they are waiting for the final inspections to be conducted.
B.I.S.D. Superintendent Kris Jenkins said they had about $36,500 left in their contingency fund and they had one expected change order.
The brick still has to be stained but the construction trailers and generators have been removed.
The project had a base budget of $3.7 million. When the alternates were added, the project came in at $5.7 million.
The project included the installation of a new elevator as well as new classrooms, a new counseling suite and the renovation of an existing kitchen.
