Strategic plan for BHSJCHA to be developed by consultant, process was stopped by pandemic

COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A strategic plan will be developed for the Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency.

The agency Board of Health approved a $6,400 bid from Mary Kushion Consulting during their meeting last Thursday to perform the service.

The agency had requested bids from two companies that provide Strategic Planning services for Public Health entities.

The process was started late in 2019 but it was paused when the COVID-19 pandemic was declared.

Eventually, it was decided to restart the process.

Health Officer Rebecca Burns told the board one of her goals for 2022 was to complete the Strategic Plan.

The funding is being made possible by a grant from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
