COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater City Council will be asked Monday night to approve a bid for renovation work at the existing soccer and rocket football field on Northshore Drive.
City Manager Keith Baker says the work will include herbicide application, grading, the installation of top soil and seeding.
Stout Excavating of Coldwater had the lowest bid of the three responses at $35,000.
Baker says due to the time of the year and the desire to avoid any disruption to the fall rocket football program season, the work would be completed in late fall 2022 or early spring 2023 to provide the best opportunity for successful turf establishment.
He says the project would be funded through existing General Fund reserves and added to the City’s FY 2022-23 capital improvement budget.
The bid comes with a one-year warranty for workmanship.
