Memorial stone rededicated for former State Representative Bill Marshall

ALLEN, MI (WTVB) – A memorial stone for former State House Representative Bill Marshall was rededicated in Allen on Saturday.

State Representative Andrew Fink brought two proclamations and local law enforcement was also on hand.

Marshall served on the committee that approved I-69 going through Branch County in the late 60’s.

The Allen native was a State Representative from the early 50’s until his death in 1968 at the age of 65.

Part of his legislative district covered Branch County.

Before becoming a state legislator, Marshall was the Hillsdale County Sheriff from 1938 until 1948.
