BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – It’s one of the biggest events in Branch County every summer.
The 52nd Bronson Polish Festival starts next Thursday and will run through Saturday, July 23.
The Opening Ceremonies and Kick-off will take place on Thursday night in the St. Mary’s Assumption Catholic Church Gym starting at 6:30 p.m.
It will include the crowning of the Polish Festival king and queen and the rest of the court.
Friday is Kids Day at Douglas Park. The annual fireworks show will take place Friday night at dusk.
Saturday’s events will be highlighted by the annual parade starting at 1:00 p.m.
Gary and Paddie Nettleman will be the Grand Marshals. The Honorary Grand Marshals will be the Bronson Girls Bowling Team after they won the MHSAA Division 4 state championship.
Among the other events on Saturday are a car show, a garden tractor show, a softball tournament and a polka dinner and dance at St. Mary’s.
Various restaurants and community organizations will be serving Polish food throughout the festival.
