BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – At least three Branch County stations are selling gas for less than $4 a gallon and others could join them soon as prices continue a downward trend.
Spotters for the web site www.gasbuddy.com report stations in the Quincy area were selling gas for between $3.93 and $3.99 a gallon.
Several other stations in northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio are now selling gas for under $4.
The price around the City of Coldwater as of Friday was between $4.09 and $4.24.
Prices are about a dollar a gallon less than in early June when they hit a record $5.19 a gallon.
Triple-A says the average cost of a gallon of regular gas is down 20 cents compared to a week ago at $4.08.
The nation’s average gas price has dropped for seven straight weeks.
