SOMERSET TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – A Jerome man is in the Hillsdale County Jail after he was arrested in connection with the alleged homicide of a woman early Saturday morning. The Michigan State Police are investigating the incident.
Few details have been released about the shooting at the suspects home on Opel Drive in Somerset Township. The Hillsdale Daily News reported a 26-year-old female who broke into the man’s home was the shooting victim.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect, who has been identified in the Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Department jail tracker as 27-year-old Jonathan Navarre Ressler, is scheduled to appear for an arraignment in Hillsdale County District Court on Monday afternoon.
