BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – Some Coldwater stations were selling gas above the state average price on Monday.
Triple-A Michigan says while the average gas price in Michigan continues to drop, the decline was just four cents in the past week.
The statewide average is now $3.91 which is 57 cents lower than last month but 75 cents more than last year at this time.
Spotters for the web site www.gasbuddy.com report prices around Branch County on Monday were mostly between $3.82 and $3.99 a gallon.
It maybe worth a trip out of Branch County to fill up the gas tank as prices are almost 30 to 40 cents cheaper in some places.
Gas Buddy says the price at a station in Sturgis was $3.54.
Meanwhile, the price at a station in Athens was down to $3.64 while stations on the south side of Battle Creek and in Marshall were selling gas for as low as $3.68 a gallon.
