Deborah Houvener, 70, of Butler, IN and formerly of Quincy, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2022, at her home.
Funeral services for Deborah Houvener will be held Friday, August 26, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Quincy with Pastor Rachel Labram of Quincy United Methodist Church officiating.
Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Quincy. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
She was born January 17, 1952, in Coldwater to Erwin and Betty (Spillman) Burritt. She married Raymond Houvener, Jr. on May 28, 1969, and he preceded her in death on August 23, 2012.
Debbie graduated from Coldwater High School in 1970. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Ivy Tech in Fort Wayne and her Master’s Degree from Capella University. She loved to read and crochet. In the summer, she enjoyed going to the beach and swimming.
Survivors include her two children, Thomas Houvener and Dorie (Emilio Cuenca, Jr.) Houvener; siblings, Thomas (Sandy) Burritt, Linda Anderson and Denise (Doug Kellog) Burritt; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Raymond.
