COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – With the Labor Day holiday weekend just one week away and the end of summer approaching, gas prices continue to go down after getting up to over $5 a gallon in early June.
Triple-A Michigan reported on Friday that the statewide average for regular gas was $3.85 a gallon which is a penny below the national average.
It’s even cheaper in parts of west Michigan as Triple-A says the average price in Grand Rapids, Muskegon and Holland was at $3.69 a gallon.
The price at several Coldwater stations has dropped to $3.79 in recent days.
Spotters for the web site www.gasbuddy.com reported prices in Branch County on Friday were mostly between $3.69 and $3.89 a gallon.
