UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – A grand opening for the Union City Senior Center has been scheduled for Saturday, September 24.
The Senior Center Committee and the Union City Village Council is inviting everyone to an open house which will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and check out the renovated building first hand.
There will be free food and drinks available thanks a sponsorship by the Bruce G and Ruth A Young Endowment Fund.
The project took nearly four years and over $200,000 was raised to restore and equip the old Putnam Funeral Home building.
The historic building will be used as a recreational and social hub for area Seniors.
