COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A pair of staffing requests are scheduled to come before the Branch County Board of Commissioners during their work session on Thursday.
The first will be from the Commission on Aging who are looking to create the position of Nutrition Director after recently being awarded the state and federally funded contracts for congregate and home delivered meals.
The Nutrition Director would be a full time position starting at a salary of over $51,000.
Whoever is hired would supervise 10 or more paid and volunteer staff members.
They would also facilitate and oversee congregate meal service and the delivery of meals to home bound seniors as well as compile and report on the data required for these programs.
The second staffing request is from the Prosecutor’s Office.
Prosecutor Zach Stempien wants Commissioners to approve the conversion of an assistant position from part-time to full-time and to create a budget for a contractual investigator who would continue the work of Douglas Tanner as an investigator at the conclusion of a federal grant used to fund his position.
Stempien says in his letter to Commisisoners that the positions would take effect in 2023.
