COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Legg Middle School Volleyball teams took on Jackson Lumen Christi on Tuesday night.
The 8th grade B team lost to Lumen Christi 25-15, 13-25 and 9-15. Three players were 100 percent on the serving line. Kinley Cummings got all 14 of her serves. Khole Tyler got all 8 of her serves. Kaylee King got all 3 of her serves in at a critical time in the game. Jaylynn Martin also helped in serving she was 6 for 8 with 5 aces.
The 7th grade A team defeated Lumen Christi 25-12 25-14 to improve their record to 5-2-1 on the year. At the service line Coldwater was led by Audi Bucklin 10-11 4 aces, Adyson Qualls 11-12 5 aces, Alyise Dally 8-9 3 aces, Caydee Marske 3-3 2 aces, Elizabeth Vogler 4-6 2 aces, Kelsey Price 2-3 1 ace, Harper Morrill & Alexa Carreon 1-1 each, Lily Scheidler 1-2 1 ace and Alana Houtz 1-4. In the backrow Coldwater was paced by Bucklin with 3 digs followed by Makiya Hoover and Marske with 2 each.
The 7th grade B team lost to Lumen Christi two games to one. The Cards lost two sets 25-13 15-13 but won one set 25-16. Leading the Lady Cards in serving was Gemma McVicker who was 12/13 with 6 aces, Katherine Smith 6/8 with 4aces, Brooklyn Nelson serving 3/5 with 1 ace, and Lily Reinhackel serving 4/5 with 1 ace.
