COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – In what arguably might be the one of the largest invitationals of the 2022 girl’s golf season, Coldwater hosted 19 teams on Friday at the Coldwater Golf Course.
Haslett, Jackson Lumen Christi, and Grosse Ile all tied for first place with the same team score of 349.
When teams tie you go to the fifth person’s score and when that was factored in, Haslett edged out Lumen Christi by one stroke to win the Invitational with Grosse Ile being five shots back.
On the individual side, there was a three way battle for medalist for much of the day. Haslett’s Syndey Dausman and Lumen Christi’s Ashley Hilderley each shot 73’s with Lily Bargamian from Grosse Ile finishing 2 strokes back with a 75.
Dausman defeated Hilderley in a sudden death playoff to become medalist for the event.
Coldwater ended up in 18th place shooting a team score of 477.
Coldwater was led by Hailey Price with a 95, Violet Cunkle shot a 120, Karis Tom carded a 128, Lily Roscoe had a 134 and Claire Hawver shot a 140.
