UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – There is a vacancy on the Union City School Board of Education after Kyle Miller stepped down during the board’s monthly meeting on Monday night.
Miller decided to leave the board after serving for over three years because he wanted to spend more time with his family.
He had been serving as the board secretary.
The district has posted the vacancy on its web site.
Any district resident who is is interested can e-mail Superintendent Chris Katz by noon on September 30 at ckatz@unioncityschools.org.
You can also hand deliver a letter of intent before the deadline to the district offices at 430 St. Joseph Street.
Tentative interview dates for candidates are October 4 and/or October 17.
Whoever is selected will fill out the balance of Miller’s term which expires on December 31, 2024.
