UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – The Michigan Associated Press high school football rankings heading into the fifth week of the schedule shows Union City has gotten an honorable mention in Division Seven following their upset win over Reading last Friday.
The Rangers dropped out of the Division Eight top ten with that loss and now have an honorable mention.
As for other area teams, Three Rivers earned an honorable mention in Division Four; Hudson is ranked third in Division Seven; and Centreville is eighth in Division Eight.
In the eight person football polls, Pittsford is tied for 10th in Division One while Litchfield got an honorable mention. Colon is ranked second in Division Two while Athens and Mendon received honorable mentions.
The rankings are compiled by the Associated Press from votes of various press and media members from across Michigan.
Meanwhile, the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association has ranked Hastings eighth in Division Four and Constantine ninth in Division Six. The coaches have ranked Centreville eighth in Division Eight while Reading is ninth.
The eight person football Division Two rankings have Colon second, Athens eighth and Mendon tenth.
