Norma Jean Davis, 89, of Union City, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at Drews Place in Coldwater, under the care of Southern Care Hospice.
A funeral service will be held Friday, September 23, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Lighthouse Funeral & Cremation, 1276 Tate Trail in Union City, with Pastor Jayme Palaszeski officiating. She will be interred at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta Monday, September 26, 2022 at 11:30 a.m..
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 22, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Lighthouse in Union City.
Norma was born February 18, 1933 in Battle Creek, Michigan to Albert and Mamie (Ryder) Langs. She graduated from Climax High School in 1951. On January 11, 1953 she married Theo Davis at the Climax United Methodist Church. They had been married for 62 years at the time of his death in 2015.
Norma was a homemaker when their children were young and later was employed as a bank teller and then as a Wal-Mart greeter.
Among Norma’s hobbies were baking, making wedding cakes, painting, sewing, crocheting and flower gardening. She served as a 4-H leader and enjoyed camping and going to Disney World.
She is survived by her children, Pam (Dale) Zurakowski of Grand Haven, Delbert Davis of Union City, George (Teresa) Davis of Burlington, Patricia (Doug) Kloosterman of Mendon and Doug (Theresa) Davis of Union City; 20 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; a brother, William (Lois) Langs of Climax; and her chihuahua, Chloe.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Theo; and a son, Michael Davis.
