BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – Interior painting for the City of Bronson’s water tower got underway on Monday which means it will be shut down for at least the next month.
City Manager Brandon Mersman says a temporary pressure tank has been installed to keep the system pressurized.
During this time, Bronson water customers may notice some fluctuations in water pressure.
With a smaller pressure tank, Mersman says the two City wells will be cycling on and off to keep a normal range of safe water pressure.
The work on the water tank is being performed by Nelson Tank and the contractor L&T Painting Incorporated.
After the painting is completed, the tower will need to be disinfected before it can be put back into service.
