LAKE JAMES, IN (WTVB) – The Indiana Seaplane Pilots Association will be holding their 20th Fly-In at Pokagon State Park’s Potawatomi Inn this weekend.
Aircraft and scheduled to arrive and department at the Potawatomi Inn beach between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Sunday.
There will drawings for rides during the morning with demonstration flights starting at 1:00 p.m..
Those who attend on can view the seaplanes and visit with the pilots.
The normal gate fees will apply for Indiana and out-of-state vehicles.
Thanks to the efforts of the association, Lake James was designated as a public seaplane base in 2012.
Last year’s event was held under sunny skies with temperatures in the 80s.
It attracted 27 aircraft from all over the Midwest and as far as Pennsylvania.
